Now why anyone who is vegetarian would ever go to Arby’s is beyond me. Arby’s has shown, quite clearly, that they are not pro-vegetarian. In fact, they mock vegetarians openly, which would show many vegetarians who are or is not welcome at their restaurant. They are highly open in their selections of meat, and everything meat, so you are going to have a hard time finding too many vegetarian options here. Vegetarians have responded to the kinda childish response by Arby’s, and they don’t seem too pleased.
But if you are vegetarian, hungry, and the only place around is an Arby’s and a Checkers/Rally’s, and you made the hard choice for Arby’s, here is what you are going to have to live with:
- Curly Fries
- Side Salad
- Mozzarella Sticks
- Jalapeno Bites
- Potato Cakes
- Onion Rings
They also have desserts, like Apple Turnovers and Chocolate Molten Lavacake. But like I said, there are not too many options here, although I have to say, they have a lot more options than Rally’s, and maybe, just maybe, they can challenge the vegetarian menu diversity of McDonalds. All of Arby’s fried foods are fried in corn oil, so at least it isn’t fried in pig fat or something, like what you would expect with the likes of them.
But I guess in a last resort, you can eat at Arby’s and still be vegetarian when you leave.
Now Fast Food restaurants have the right to prepare and deny products however and whenever they choose. You cannot force a fast food chain to add non-vegetarian options. But they could have dealt with this with a bit more tact. Although to be honest, I am not sure if it has ever had that.
